About The Book
In recent past, exotic vegetables like broccoli, red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, Chinese cabbage, celery, gherking etc. have been introduced and their adaptability studies have been undertaken in different parts of the country.
These Vegetables are getting increasing demand in the five star cultures of the cosmopolitan cities. They generally require cool temperature, however, agro climatic conditions prevailing in several parts of north-western Himalayas of J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Kumaon and Grahwal division of Uttarakhand are very favourable for growing these exotic vegetables.
This current publication deals about 37 exotic vegetables. It is expected that in near future more research attention will be paid towards advance production and protection technology, genetic improvement and application of biotechnological tools to address the several complex issues of different exotic vegetables grown across the country. I assure to the readers that new and enlarged edition of this title will be brought for their reference.
