Author Profile

Sanjay Mishra is a prolific author with a diverse academic and professional background. He holds a degree in Bio Science from Delhi University, after which he transitioned into the field of Computer Science. His career in the IT industry spans several years, where he worked at renowned organizations such as NIIT, Aptech, Hartron, Zed CA, GENX Technologies and Aldite Co. During this time, he developed expertise in programming languages like Java, C++, VB6.0, ASP and scripting languages, apart from training numerous students. In 2012, he left the IT field to dedicate himself entirely to agricultural pursuits. He even ventured into commercial hydroponics and aquaponics farming in Prayagraj (U. P.), experimenting with soilless crop production. He has authored several books across various disciplines. Dr. Sanyat Misra is a Forestry graduate from UAS, Bangalore; M.Sc. (Ag.) Hort. from GBPUAT, Pantnagar (Udham Singh Nagar), Uttarakhand; and Ph.D. from Dr. YSP UHF, Nauni, Solan (H.P.). He served ICAR-NBPGR (New Delhi and Shimla) for 3 years and in 2004 joined BAU, Kanke (Ranchi) as Assistant Professor cum Jr. Scientist. At present, he is Head, Deparment of Horticulture looking after administrative, extension, teaching and research activities of the Department. He had been Chairman in case of 7 M.Sc. students. To his credit, he has some 45 research publications, 11 books and 3 bulletins. Dr. R.L. Misra got retired from Division of Floriculture and Landscaping, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-110012 in May 2008 as Principal Scientist cum Project Coordinator (Floriculture), All India Coordinated Research Project on Floriculture. He also worked as Officer-in-Charge, Indo-Israel Preject on Research and Development on Farms, IARI, New Delhi. As Adjunct Faculty he continued further teaching works to M.Sc. and Ph.D. students at IARI from 2010 to 2014. As Chairman, he guided 6 M.Sc. and 16 Ph.D. students in IARI. To his credit, he developed 30 gladiolus varieties, has more than 500 publications: 11 books, 9 technical bulletins, 15 review articles, 169 research publications, 120 technical articles, 57 symposium papers and more than 140 book chapters.
