About The Book

Although there exists a number of books which have provided procedural details on scientific husbandry of the various fruit crops grown in India, exclusive titles covering elaborate discussions on the principles of fruit culture befitting to this country are rarely available. While considering this gap, the present text has been brought in, incorporating two fundamental aspects on the principles of fruit culture, which are orchard irrigation and soil management practices, the pertinence of which to gain expertise on fruit crop husbandry needs no emphasis. This revised and enlarged title has aimed at presenting the subject in a clearly comprehensive manner to meet the requirement levels of post–graduate and advanced levels of under–graduate students of horticulture in India, besides providing practical knowledge to the fruit growers in this country.
